FICEMS Releases 2011 National EMS Assessment

The Federal Interagency Committee for Emergency Medical Services (FICEMS) has released the 2011 National EMS Assessment. Sponsored by FICEMS and funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the report provides the first ever comprehensive description of emergency medical services, EMS emergency preparedness and 911 systems at state and national levels using existing data sources.


ITLS Ohio Seeking Emergency Physician for Ohio Chapter Medical Director

ITLS Ohio is now accepting applications for Ohio Chapter Medical Director. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of ITLS Ohio's prehospital education. This is a volunteer position requiring a limited time commitment. Application deadline is January 24, 2012.

Ohio Transition Plan to Address NREMT State-Approved Transition Course

The NREMT Transition Policy requires the current holder of a NREMT certificate to complete a state-approved transition course in order to be eligible for its National EMS Certification. The NREMT Transition Policy only affects those Ohio EMS providers who wish to maintain their NREMT certification.
